My Dogs in the Movies

While my dogs came very close to being in some major motion pictures, they sadly do not appear in the final versions of any of these films.

It’s quaint to remember, but before there were filters and automated photo editing, we did it painstakingly by hand! Back when I had only dogs and cats to deal with, I spent many hours putting them into movie stills and fine art paintings. Here are a few dated examples.

Why this thrilling rescue sequence was cut to make more screen time for Kirsten Dunst, I’ll never know.

This scene was too frightening for young children, and threatened an R rating from the MPAA. Despite its intensity, the scene was filmed without harming the little guys.

The cat, however, does not go to the movies.
